| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Reynaldo Montanaro Sr. of Brownsville is retiring |

| 6 | 7 | | from the Office of the Attorney General of Texas on August 31, 2017, |

| 7 | 8 | | drawing to a close a notable career with the agency that has spanned |

| 8 | 9 | | nearly three decades; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Born in Brownsville and raised in Coatzacoalcos, |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Veracruz, Mexico, Rey Montanaro attended the Marine Military |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Academy in McAllen and graduated from the Colegio La Salle in |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Coatzacoalcos; he subsequently earned a bachelor's degree in |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | criminal justice; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Montanaro joined the Office of the Attorney |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | General in 1990 as a child support officer; he went on to serve as an |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | ombudsman and supervisor, and he is retiring as manager of the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Brownsville office of the Child Support Division; over the years, |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | he has consistently earned the respect and admiration of his |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | supervisors and coworkers for his dedication, his attention to |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | detail, and his leadership; he is the recipient of many awards and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | recognitions; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, This dynamic Texan has also been a successful |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | entrepreneur; he created Blue-Ribbon Pet Grooming, a business that |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | he recently sold, and he co-owns the Montanaro Property Group, a |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | real estate investment firm that he established with his son Rey; |

| 26 | 27 | | and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Montanaro enjoys the love |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | and support of Aida Montanaro, his wife of 33 years, as well as that |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | of his four children, Aida, Rey, Carmen, and Fernando; he delights |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | in the time he spends with his grandchildren, Rey, Andrea, and Mia; |

| 32 | 33 | | WHEREAS, Rey Montanaro's unfailing professionalism and |

| 33 | 34 | | commitment to excellence have greatly benefited his fellow Texans, |

| 34 | 35 | | and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent as he |

| 35 | 36 | | embarks upon the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, |
