H.R. No. 72 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Robert J. Gonzalez of Mission is retiring as a supervisor from U.S. Customs and Border Protection on July 31, 2017, drawing to a close a quarter century of exemplary service to that agency; and WHEREAS, Mr. Gonzalez joined the CBP Weslaco office as a line agent in 1992, and he went on to serve as a senior agent for five years before being promoted to supervisor in 2006; over the course of his distinguished tenure, his outstanding efforts earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and fellow citizens alike; and WHEREAS, Through his professionalism and dedication to public service, Robert Gonzalez has greatly benefited the people of Texas, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his many accomplishments as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Robert J. Gonzalez on his retirement from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued happiness and fulfillment; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
