| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been |

| 3 | 3 | | enhanced by a great and enduring love, Billy Dean and Carolyn |

| 4 | 4 | | Risinger celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 10, |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | 2017, with a renewal of their vows; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Billy Dean Risinger met the future Carolyn Risinger |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | while he was a student at Laneville High School and she was |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | attending Mount Enterprise High; they were joined in matrimony in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1967 at Maple Grove Church in Minden, and with the passing years, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | their family has grown to include four children, Wendy Boatman, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Angie Bowers, Annie Barker, and the late Stacy Risinger, as well |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Valued members of their community, Mr. and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Mrs. Risinger retired from the Texas Department of Criminal |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Justice, where they both served as correctional officers; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | half century, this devoted husband and wife have remained |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | constant in their commitment to each other, and the strength of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Billy Dean |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and Carolyn Risinger on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be |

| 25 | 25 | | it further |
