| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, A 33rd wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 3 | 3 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, Doug and Lori Murdoch of |

| 4 | 4 | | Temple, Texas, are celebrating this joyous milestone in their |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | marriage on August 17, 2017; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1984, Douglas Murdoch and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | the former Lori Wilson were joined in matrimony in a ceremony |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | officiated by the Pastor Penny at the Methodist Church in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Toronto, Ontario, Canada; over the years, the couple has been |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | blessed with a family that includes their three children, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Brittney Hanson and her husband, Jeramie Hanson, Kaetlyn Schwall |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and her husband, Matthew Schwall, and Matthew Murdoch, as well as |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | their three grandchildren, Koa and Harper Hanson and Ellison |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Schwall; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Both alumni of the University of Waterloo, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Mr. Murdoch has gone into a career in health care after receiving |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine, while Mrs. Murdoch has gone |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | on to a career in nursing and is currently working as research |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | nurse for Baylor Scott and White Hospital; active in their |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | community, the couple have been valued congregants of Temple |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Bible Church since 2003; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Murdoch have shared over three |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | decades of abiding love, and through their mutual love for the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Lord, they are among an exceptional group of men and women who can |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | claim such a lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Doug and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Lori Murdoch on their wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
