SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 19
WHEREAS, J. T. and Yvonne McNabb of Blossom celebrated
their 70th wedding anniversary on May 24, 2017, and they may
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have
shared; and
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1947, J. T. McNabb and
the former Yvonne Watson exchanged the vows of matrimony in the
home of the Reverend D. D. Miller in Avery, and over the course
of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving life
partner; and
WHEREAS, Reverend and Mrs. McNabb count among their
blessings a fine family that includes their five children, Kathy
Brown, Patricia Cranford and her husband, Leroy, Charolette
Bollman and her husband, Keith, Carla Rhodes and her husband,
George, and Michael McNabb and his wife, Glynese, with whom they
treasure spending many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For seven decades, J. T. and Yvonne McNabb have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and
it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, 1st Called Session, congratulate J. T. and Yvonne
McNabb on their 70th wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
couple as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
