| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | the passing of John L. Carwile Jr. of Hughes Springs on |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | December 3, 2016, at the age of 73; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born to John and Rhena Mae Carwile on |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | January 18, 1943, John Carwile Jr. grew up with the companionship |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | of his three siblings, Roger, Gwyndyl, and Lyndyl; he enjoyed a |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | successful career in the iron industry and held membership in the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | ironworkers union for more than half a century; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Carwile was the proud father of two children, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Kenny and Kristy, and over the years, he watched his treasured |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | family grow to include four grandchildren, Alex, Dylan, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Abbygail, and Kaeden; an avid outdoorsman, he counted fishing and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | hunting among his favorite pastimes, and he had a passion for |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | muscle cars; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Although John Carwile is greatly missed, those who |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | were fortunate enough to share in his warmth and friendship will |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | forever hold him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | of John L. Carwile Jr. and extend heartfelt sympathy to the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | members of his family: to his children, Kenny Carwile and Kristy |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Carwile and her wife, Kristen; to his grandchildren, Alex, Dylan, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Abbygail, and Kaeden Carwile; to his brother, Roger Carwile, and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | his wife, Carolyn; to his sister, Gwyndyl Fenton, and her |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | husband, Jerry; to his dear friend, Johnny Morehead; and to all |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | those who mourn his passing; and, be it further |

| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
