1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 27
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	3	recognize the Solara Specialty Hospital system in Harlingen and
4	4	Brownsville, which is celebrating 10 years of service in Cameron
5	5	County on June 29, 2017; and
6	6	WHEREAS, Solara Hospital of Harlingen began serving the
7	7	needs of residents in 2006, and the Brownsville campus opened the
8	8	following year; the licensed acute-care facilities are designed
9	9	to complement the continuum of care provided by traditional
10	10	hospitals, skilled nursing units, home health care systems, and
11	11	rehabilitation hospitals; they have been part of the Cornerstone
12	12	Healthcare Group since 2010; and
13	13	WHEREAS, The hospitals offer 41 patient beds and
14	14	state-of-the-art intensive care units; the facilities promote
15	15	the Cornerstone commitment to quality patient care by providing
16	16	four primary treatment programs, the Pulmonary Medicine Program,
17	17	Wound Care Management, the Medically Complex Program, and the
18	18	Medical Rehabilitation Program; and
19	19	WHEREAS, The skilled medical and administrative staff at
20	20	the Solara Specialty Hospital campuses have fostered a culture of
21	21	excellence in acute care and long-term medical care in Harlingen
22	22	and Brownsville, and they have helped improve the lives of
23	23	countless individuals; now, therefore, be it
24	24	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
25	25	Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend all who have
26	26	contributed to the Solara Specialty Hospital system and
27	27	congratulate them on 10 years of success; and, be it further
28	28	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
29	29	honor of Solara Specialty Hospital as an expression of esteem
30	30	from the Texas Senate.
