| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Kerr County Historical Commission and the citizens |

| 4 | 4 | | of Kerrville who celebrated the dedication of an Official Texas |

| 5 | 5 | | Historical Marker recognizing the achievements of Josephine Carr |

| 6 | 6 | | and Scott Schreiner; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, The late Josephine Carr and Scott Schreiner |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | played a vital role in the growth and prosperity of Kerrville in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | the early years of the 20th century, and the Schreiner name has |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | become synonymous with Kerrville; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Such institutions as Schreiner University, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Schreiner Goods, and the Kerrville-Schreiner Park are a reflection |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | of the significant impact the family has had on the region and its |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | history; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, It is truly fitting that this iconic Kerrville |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | family receive special recognition for the exceptional |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | contributions family members made in the development of |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Kerrville and Kerr County; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend the Kerr County |

| 21 | 21 | | Historical Commission, the Texas Historical Commission, and the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | people of Kerrville on their commitment to preserving and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | highlighting the region's rich history and extend best wishes to |
