At a community cookout, a three-year-old girl experienced a near-drowning when she slipped out of her life vest and sank to the bottom of a pool. Thanks to the quick response of Officer Matt Cooper, along with members of the Marshall Fire Department and a registered nurse, CPR was successfully administered, allowing the child to breathe again and recover fully after hospital treatment.
