| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Sharon Sirles, who is retiring on August 31, 2017, |

| 4 | 4 | | after 17 years of outstanding service with the Office of the |

| 5 | 5 | | Comptroller of Public Accounts; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Sharon Sirles joined the comptroller's office on |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | September 1, 2000, as a member of the staff at Information |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Technology-Data Center Operations; she rose through the ranks to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | the position of computer operator III; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Throughout her career, she has been noted for her |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | superior skills and expertise; she played an important role in |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | the implementation and conversion of the current warrants |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | process, and she played an important role in the move of the Data |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Center from the fourth floor to the ground floor; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, she has handled her |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency, dedication, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and attention to detail; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, she is respected and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | admired by her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, |

| 21 | 21 | | therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Sharon Sirles on |

| 24 | 24 | | her exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | her best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, |
