1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 80
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	3	recognize Gilbert Bega, who is retiring on August 31, 2017, from
4	4	the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts after more than
5	5	41 years of outstanding service with the state; and
6	6	WHEREAS, Gilbert Bega began his career in state service in
7	7	1976; over the course of his time with the comptroller's office,
8	8	he demonstrated valuable leadership abilities and rose through
9	9	the ranks to become a manager; and
10	10	WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Mr. Bega has been noted for
11	11	his organizational skills and his attention to detail; and
12	12	WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, he has handled his many
13	13	duties and responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and
14	14	dedication; and
15	15	WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and
16	16	admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Office of the
17	17	Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
18	18	therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
20	20	Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Gilbert Bega on
21	21	his exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of
22	22	the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to
23	23	him best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further
24	24	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
25	25	as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
