| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Sections 504.202(a) and (f), Transportation | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, are amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) A person entitled to specialty license plates under this | |
| 13 | 13 | section may register, for the person's own use, one vehicle without | |
| 14 | 14 | payment of any fee paid for or at the time of registration [except | |
| 15 | 15 | the fee for the license plates]. Registration under this section is | |
| 16 | 16 | valid for one year. | |
| 17 | 17 | (f) [The fee for the first set of license plates is $3.] | |
| 18 | 18 | There is no fee for [each additional set of] license plates issued | |
| 19 | 19 | under this section. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
