| 12 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 42.152, Education Code, is amended by |

| 14 | 12 | | adding Subsection (c-6) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 13 | | (c-6) Notwithstanding Subsection (c), funds allocated under |
|---|
| 16 | 14 | | this section may be used to fund: |
|---|
| 17 | | - | (1) services provided by a school counselor through a |
|---|
| 18 | | - | district's school guidance and counseling program under Subchapter |
|---|
| 19 | | - | A, Chapter 33; |
|---|
| 20 | | - | (2) counseling services provided to a district by a |
|---|
| 21 | | - | licensed professional counselor, as defined by Section 503.002, |
|---|
| 22 | | - | Occupations Code; or |
|---|
| 23 | | - | (3) social work services provided to a district by a |
|---|
| 24 | | - | licensed social worker, as defined by Section 505.002, Occupations |
|---|
| 25 | | - | Code. |
|---|
