| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter I, Chapter 31, Natural Resources |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Code, is amended by adding Section 31.4535 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Sec. 31.4535. MONTHLY EXPENSE REPORTS. (a) Any public or |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | private entity that enters into an agreement with this state to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | provide a service or other benefit to preserve, maintain, or |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | restore the Alamo or Alamo complex shall submit to the land office a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | monthly report detailing any service or benefit provided during the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | preceding month for those purposes, including the cost charged to |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | this state for the service or benefit. |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (b) The land office and any other state agency that in any |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | month uses money appropriated or donated to the agency by a public |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | or private entity to pay an expense incurred by the agency during |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the preceding month for the preservation, maintenance, or |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | restoration of the Alamo or Alamo complex shall prepare a monthly |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | report detailing the expense. |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (c) A report under this section must be submitted in the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | format required by the land office not later than the third business |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | day of the month following the month in which a cost charged under |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Subsection (a) or an expense incurred under Subsection (b) occurs. |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | (d) The land office shall post each monthly report submitted |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | under this section on the land office's Internet website not later |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | than the second business day after the date the report is submitted. |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | SECTION 2. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | a cost charged or expense incurred on or after the effective date of |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | this Act. |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
