| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 42.042, Human Resources Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | by adding Subsection (h-2) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (h-2) The minimum standards for the regulation of | |
| 13 | 13 | child-placing agencies licensed by the commission that provide | |
| 14 | 14 | international adoption services must require that, for a child | |
| 15 | 15 | adopted in a foreign country, the child-placing agency: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) conduct a post-placement review; and | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) prepare at least two post-placement adoptive | |
| 18 | 18 | reports. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
