| 7 | 7 | | relating to the deadline for certain economic development |

| 8 | 8 | | corporations to file a certain report with the comptroller. |

| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Section 502.151(a), Local Government Code, is |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | (a) Not later than April [February] 1 of each year, the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | board of directors of a corporation shall submit a report to the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | comptroller that includes: |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | (1) a statement of: |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (A) the corporation's primary economic |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | development objectives; |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (B) the corporation's total revenue during the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | preceding fiscal year; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (C) the corporation's total expenditures during |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | the preceding fiscal year; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (D) the corporation's total expenditures during |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | the preceding fiscal year in each of the following categories: |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (i) administration; |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (ii) personnel; |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | (iii) marketing or promotion; |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | (iv) direct business incentives; |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | (v) job training; |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | (vi) debt service; |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | (vii) capital costs; |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | (viii) affordable housing; and |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | (ix) payments to taxing units, including |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | school districts; |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | (2) a list of the corporation's capital assets, |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | including land and buildings; and |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | (3) any other information the comptroller requires to |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | determine the use of the sales and use tax imposed under Chapter 504 |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | or 505 to encourage economic development in this state. |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
