9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Title 9, Occupations Code, is repealed. | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 2. (a) A license, certificate, or permit issued | |
12 | 12 | under Chapter 1601, 1602, or 1603, Occupations Code, in effect on | |
13 | 13 | the effective date of this Act expires on that date. | |
14 | 14 | (b) A proceeding under Title 9, Occupations Code, including | |
15 | 15 | a complaint investigation, disciplinary action, and administrative | |
16 | 16 | penalty proceeding, pending on the effective date of this Act is | |
17 | 17 | terminated on that date. | |
18 | 18 | (c) The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shall | |
19 | 19 | return to a person who holds a valid license, certificate, or permit | |
20 | 20 | under Title 9, Occupations Code, as that title existed immediately | |
21 | 21 | before the effective date of this Act, a prorated portion of the fee | |
22 | 22 | paid to the department for the issuance or renewal of the license, | |
23 | 23 | certificate, or permit. | |
24 | 24 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
