12 | 10 | SECTION 1. Chapter 546, Transportation Code, is amended by | |
13 | 11 | adding Subchapter D to read as follows: | |
14 | 12 | SUBCHAPTER D. FUNERAL ESCORT SERVICE VEHICLES | |
15 | 13 | Sec. 546.101. DEFINITION. In this subchapter, "funeral | |
16 | 14 | escort service" means a business that facilitates the movement of | |
17 | 15 | traffic for a funeral procession. | |
18 | - | Sec. 546.102. FUNERAL ESCORT SERVICES. A local authority | |
19 | - | shall allow a funeral escort service to facilitate the movement of | |
20 | - | traffic for a funeral procession. | |
21 | - | Sec. 546.103. OPERATOR TRAINING. A person may operate a | |
22 | - | vehicle to facilitate the movement of a funeral procession for a | |
23 | - | funeral escort service only if the person has successfully | |
24 | - | completed a training program in traffic direction as defined by the | |
25 | - | basic peace officer course curriculum established by the Texas | |
