9+ A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
410 AN ACT
511 relating to the designation of a portion of State Highway 21 in
612 Nacogdoches County as the Sergeant Tom Sitton Memorial Highway.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
915 is amended by adding Section 225.152 to read as follows:
1016 Sec. 225.152. SERGEANT TOM SITTON MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a)
1117 The portion of State Highway 21 in Nacogdoches County between
1218 County Road 713 and County Road 782 is designated as the Sergeant
1319 Tom Sitton Memorial Highway.
1420 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
1521 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
1622 designation as the Sergeant Tom Sitton Memorial Highway and any
1723 other appropriate information; and
1824 (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
1925 appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
2026 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
