| 7 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 9 | 15 | | is amended by adding Section 225.152 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 10 | 16 | | Sec. 225.152. GOVERNOR COKE R. STEVENSON MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. |
|---|
| 11 | 17 | | (a) The portion of U.S. Highway 377 in Kimble County between the |
|---|
| 12 | 18 | | western municipal boundary of Junction and its intersection with |
|---|
| 13 | 19 | | County Road 120 is designated as the Governor Coke R. Stevenson |
|---|
| 14 | 20 | | Memorial Highway. The designation is in addition to any other |
|---|
| 15 | 21 | | designation. |
|---|
| 16 | 22 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
|---|
| 17 | 23 | | (1) design and construct markers indicating the |
|---|
| 18 | 24 | | highway number, the designation as the Governor Coke R. Stevenson |
|---|
| 19 | 25 | | Memorial Highway, and any other appropriate information; and |
|---|
| 20 | 26 | | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at |
|---|
| 21 | 27 | | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. |
|---|
| 22 | 28 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 23 | 29 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 24 | 30 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 25 | 31 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 26 | 32 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
