410 AN ACT
511 relating to the designation of a portion of State Loop 111 in Travis
612 County as the Richard Overton Memorial Highway.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
915 is amended by adding Section 225.152 to read as follows:
1016 Sec. 225.152. RICHARD OVERTON MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) The
1117 portion of State Loop 111 in Travis County between its northern
1218 intersection with Levander Loop and its intersection with
1319 Farm-to-Market Road 969 is designated as the Richard Overton
1420 Memorial Highway. The designation is in addition to any other
1521 designation.
1622 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
1723 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
1824 designation as the Richard Overton Memorial Highway and any other
1925 appropriate information; and
2026 (2) erect a marker at appropriate sites along the
2127 loop.
2228 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2329 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2430 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2531 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2632 Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
