411 AN ACT
512 relating to the designation of a portion of U.S. Highway 287 as the
613 Honorable Teel Bivins Memorial Highway.
714 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
815 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
916 is amended by adding Section 225.152 to read as follows:
1017 Sec. 225.152. HONORABLE TEEL BIVINS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a)
1118 The portion of U.S. Highway 287 between the northern boundary of
1219 Moore County and the highway's intersection with Reclamation Plant
1320 Road is designated as the Honorable Teel Bivins Memorial Highway.
1421 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
1522 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
1623 designation as the Honorable Teel Bivins Memorial Highway and any
1724 other appropriate information; and
1825 (2) erect a marker near each end of the highway and at
1926 appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
2027 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
