| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 2211.156, Insurance Code, is repealed. | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | |
| 12 | 12 | to a residential property insurance policy delivered, issued for | |
| 13 | 13 | delivery, or renewed under Chapter 2211, Insurance Code, on or | |
| 14 | 14 | after January 1, 2020. A policy delivered, issued for delivery, or | |
| 15 | 15 | renewed before January 1, 2020, is governed by the law as it existed | |
| 16 | 16 | immediately before the effective date of this Act, and that law is | |
| 17 | 17 | continued in effect for that purpose. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
