77 relating to the elevation of high-speed rail tracks.
88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 112, Transportation Code,
1010 is amended by adding Section 112.104 to read as follows:
1111 Sec. 112.104. ELEVATED HIGH-SPEED RAIL TRACKS. (a) In this
1212 section, "high-speed rail" has the meaning assigned by Section
1313 112.201.
1414 (b) Except as necessary for passenger boarding, high-speed
1515 rail tracks must be elevated on pylons to 40 feet or more above the
1616 ground to allow for the unrestricted movement of pedestrian and
1717 vehicular traffic under the tracks.
1818 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
