| 10 | 10 | is amended by adding Section 112.104 to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | Sec. 112.104. ELEVATED HIGH-SPEED RAIL TRACKS. (a) In this | |
| 12 | 12 | section, "high-speed rail" has the meaning assigned by Section | |
| 13 | 13 | 112.201. | |
| 14 | 14 | (b) Except as necessary for passenger boarding, high-speed | |
| 15 | 15 | rail tracks must be elevated on pylons to 40 feet or more above the | |
| 16 | 16 | ground to allow for the unrestricted movement of pedestrian and | |
| 17 | 17 | vehicular traffic under the tracks. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
