128 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
139 SECTION 1. Section 29.153, Education Code, is amended by
1410 adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
1511 (g) A child who is eligible for enrollment in a
16- prekindergarten class under Subsection (b) at the age of three and
17- enrolls in a prekindergarten class at the age of three remains
18- eligible for enrollment in a prekindergarten class for the
19- following school year.
12+ prekindergarten class under Subsection (b) and enrolls in a
13+ prekindergarten class at three years of age remains eligible for
14+ the following school year.
2015 SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2019-2020
2116 school year.
2217 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2318 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
