9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Article 59.06, Code of Criminal Procedure, is | |
11 | 11 | amended by adding Subsection (t) to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | (t) As a specific exception to Subsection (c) that the funds | |
13 | 13 | described by that subsection be used only for the official purposes | |
14 | 14 | of the attorney representing the state or for law enforcement | |
15 | 15 | purposes, the attorney representing the state or the head of a law | |
16 | 16 | enforcement agency, as applicable, may use any portion of the gross | |
17 | 17 | amount credited to the attorney's or agency's special fund under | |
18 | 18 | Subsection (c) to cover the costs of a contract with a municipal or | |
19 | 19 | county program to provide services to domestic victims of | |
20 | 20 | trafficking. | |
21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
