| 8 | 14 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 15 | | SECTION 1. Section 501.09112, Transportation Code, is |
|---|
| 10 | 16 | | amended by adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 11 | 17 | | (d-1) The department and the Texas Division of Emergency |
|---|
| 12 | 18 | | Management shall coordinate with the Federal Emergency Management |
|---|
| 13 | 19 | | Agency to ensure that the department has information, including a |
|---|
| 14 | 20 | | vehicle identification number, necessary to apply the notation |
|---|
| 15 | 21 | | under Subsection (d) to the title of a vehicle: |
|---|
| 16 | 22 | | (1) to which that subsection applies; and |
|---|
| 17 | 23 | | (2) that has been repaired or salvaged using financial |
|---|
| 18 | 24 | | assistance designated for that purpose and administered by the |
|---|
| 19 | 25 | | Federal Emergency Management Agency. |

| 20 | 26 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
