410 AN ACT
511 relating to the designation of a portion of Farm-to-Market Road 196
612 in Lamar County as the Nick S. Lingo Memorial Highway.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
915 is amended by adding Section 225.152 to read as follows:
1016 Sec. 225.152. NICK S. LINGO MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) The
1117 portion of Farm-to-Market Road 196 in Lamar County between its
1218 intersection with Farm-to-Market Road 195 and its intersection with
1319 Farm-to-Market Road 1502 is designated as the Nick S. Lingo
1420 Memorial Highway.
1521 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
1622 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
1723 designation as the Nick S. Lingo Memorial Highway and any other
1824 appropriate information; and
1925 (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
2026 appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
2127 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
