8 | 14 | SECTION 1. Section 2054.376, Government Code, is amended by | |
9 | 15 | adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: | |
10 | 16 | (a-1) Notwithstanding Subsection (a), this subchapter | |
11 | 17 | applies to electronic messaging service and outsourced managed | |
12 | 18 | services that are: | |
13 | 19 | (1) obtained by a state agency using state money; | |
14 | 20 | (2) used by a state agency; or | |
15 | 21 | (3) used by a participating local government. | |
16 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | |
