A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to municipal standards for private roads or streets in a
subdivision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 212, Local Government
Code, is amended by adding Section 212.0102 to read as follows:
Sec. 212.0102. STANDARDS FOR PRIVATE ROAD OR STREET IN
SUBDIVISION. A municipality may not impose a higher standard for a
private road or street in a subdivision than the municipality
imposes on itself for the construction of roads or streets of a
similar type and with a similar amount of traffic.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
