A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to certain contributions for health benefit plan coverage
under the Texas Public School Retired Employees Group Benefits Act.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 1575.212, Insurance Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
(c) The trustee may not increase the payments under
Subsection (a-1) for a biennium in which the Legislature does not
increase annuities under Chapter 824, Government Code.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
