410 AN ACT
511 relating to the designation of a portion of U.S. Highway 180 in
612 Gaines County as the Bob Ford Memorial Highway.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
915 is amended by adding Section 225.152 to read as follows:
1016 Sec. 225.152. BOB FORD MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) The portion
1117 of U.S. Highway 180 in Gaines County between its intersection with
1218 Farm-to-Market Road 1757 and the eastern municipal boundary of
1319 Seminole is designated as the Bob Ford Memorial Highway.
1420 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
1521 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
1622 designation as the Bob Ford Memorial Highway and any other
1723 appropriate information; and
1824 (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
1925 appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
2026 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2127 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2228 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2329 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2430 Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
