| 8 | 15 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 16 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 10 | 17 | | is amended by adding Section 225.152 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 11 | 18 | | Sec. 225.152. WACO POLICE SGT. BOBBY VICHA MEMORIAL |
|---|
| 12 | 19 | | HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of U.S. Highway 84 in McLennan County |
|---|
| 13 | 20 | | between its intersection with Farm-to-Market Road 1330 and its |
|---|
| 14 | 21 | | intersection with North Vicha Road is designated as the Waco Police |
|---|
| 15 | 22 | | Sgt. Bobby Vicha Memorial Highway. |
|---|
| 16 | 23 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
|---|
| 17 | 24 | | (1) design and construct markers indicating the |
|---|
| 18 | 25 | | designation as the Waco Police Sgt. Bobby Vicha Memorial Highway |
|---|
| 19 | 26 | | and any other appropriate information; and |
|---|
| 20 | 27 | | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at |
|---|
| 21 | 28 | | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. |

| 22 | 29 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
