410 AN ACT
511 relating to the use of names by public insurance adjusters.
612 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
713 SECTION 1. Section 4102.162, Insurance Code, is amended to
814 read as follows:
915 Sec. 4102.162. USE OF DIFFERENT NAME PROHIBITED. A license
1016 holder may not use a name different from the name under which the
1117 license holder is currently licensed in an advertisement,
1218 solicitation, or contract for business unless the name is used
1319 under a valid assumed name certificate as provided by Chapter 71,
1420 Business & Commerce Code.
1521 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
