| 9 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 531, Government Code, is |

| 11 | 13 | | amended by adding Section 531.0995 to read as follows: |

| 12 | 14 | | Sec. 531.0995. HEALTHY TEXAS WOMEN PROGRAM PROVIDER LIST. |
|---|
| 13 | 15 | | (a) In this section, "Healthy Texas Women program" means a program |
|---|
| 14 | 16 | | operated by the commission that is substantially similar to the |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | demonstration project operated under former Section 32.0248, Human |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | Resources Code, and that is intended to expand access to preventive |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | health and family planning services for women in this state. |
|---|
| 18 | 20 | | (b) At least once every six months, the commission shall: |
|---|
| 19 | 21 | | (1) review and, if necessary, update the Healthy Texas |
|---|
| 20 | 22 | | Women program provider list to ensure that: |
|---|
| 21 | 23 | | (A) each provider included on the list is |
|---|
| 22 | 24 | | participating in the program; and |
|---|
| 23 | 25 | | (B) the list contains accurate contact |
|---|
| 24 | 26 | | information for each provider; and |
|---|
| 25 | 27 | | (2) make any necessary updates to the Healthy Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 28 | | Women program provider list to facilitate women's access to the |
|---|
| 27 | 29 | | program's health care services. |
|---|
| 28 | 30 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
