| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 19.005, Education Code, is amended by | |
| 12 | 12 | adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (c) The district shall ensure that programs and services | |
| 14 | 14 | under this chapter are made available to females confined or | |
| 15 | 15 | imprisoned in the department. The district may offer a program or | |
| 16 | 16 | service under this chapter through telecommunication technology to | |
| 17 | 17 | satisfy the requirements of this subsection. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
