6 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
7 | 13 | SECTION 1. Section 2.208(a), Family Code, is amended to | |
8 | 14 | read as follows: | |
9 | 15 | (a) The county clerk shall record a returned marriage | |
10 | 16 | license and mail the license to the address indicated on the | |
11 | 17 | application. On request by the applicants, the county clerk may | |
12 | 18 | e-mail the marriage license to an e-mail address provided to the | |
13 | 19 | county clerk by the applicants in addition to mailing the license. | |
14 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | |
