410 AN ACT
511 relating to the designation of State Highway 99 in Chambers County
612 as the Deputy Sheriff Shane Detwiler Memorial Highway.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
915 is amended by adding Section 225.152 to read as follows:
1016 Sec. 225.152. DEPUTY SHERIFF SHANE DETWILER MEMORIAL
1117 HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of State Highway 99 in Chambers County
1218 between its intersection with Interstate Highway 10 and the Harris
1319 County line is designated as the Deputy Sheriff Shane Detwiler
1420 Memorial Highway.
1521 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
1622 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
1723 designation as the Deputy Sheriff Shane Detwiler Memorial Highway
1824 and any other appropriate information; and
1925 (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
2026 appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
2127 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
