| 7 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Section 713.008, Health and Safety Code, is |

| 9 | 15 | | amended to read as follows: |

| 10 | 16 | | Sec. 713.008. TERMINATION OF MUNICIPAL TRUST BY CERTAIN |

| 11 | 17 | | MUNICIPALITIES. (a) This section applies to the [The] governing |

| 12 | 18 | | body of a municipality in a county with a population of: |

| 13 | 19 | | (1) at least 128,000 but not more than 300,000; or |

| 14 | 20 | | (2) at least 20,000 but not more than 21,000. |

| 16 | 22 | | section applies may abolish the municipality's perpetual trust fund |
