10 | 10 | ubchapter M, Chapter 401, Health and Safety | |
11 | 11 | Code, is amended by adding Section 401.509 to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | Sec. 401.509. CONTINUING EDUCATION. The commission by rule | |
13 | 13 | shall establish continuing education requirements for renewal of a | |
14 | 14 | certificate under this subchapter. | |
15 | 15 | SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date | |
16 | 16 | of this Act, the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation shall | |
17 | 17 | adopt the rules necessary to implement Section 401.509, Health and | |
18 | 18 | Safety Code, as added by this Act. | |
19 | 19 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
20 | 20 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
21 | 21 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
22 | 22 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
23 | 23 | Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
