| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Article 2.122(b), Code of Criminal Procedure, is | |
| 10 | 10 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | (b) An officer or agent [A person] designated by the | |

| 13 | 13 | Federal Protective Services division of the General Services | |
| 14 | 14 | Administration] under 40 U.S.C. Section 1315 for duty in connection | |
| 15 | 15 | with the protection of property owned or occupied by the federal | |
| 16 | 16 | government and persons on the property [318 or 318d] is not a peace | |
| 17 | 17 | officer but has the powers of arrest and search and seizure as to | |
| 18 | 18 | any offense under the laws of this state. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2020. |
