| 7 | 13 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 8 | 14 | SECTION 1. Section 30.00044(l), Government Code, is amended | |
| 9 | 15 | to read as follows: | |
| 10 | 16 | (l) Sections [Section] 30.00007(b)(5) and 30.00009(c) and | |
| 11 | 17 | (d) do [does] not apply to this subchapter. | |
| 12 | 18 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies to a | |
| 13 | 19 | clerk and other court personnel of the municipal court of record of | |
| 14 | 20 | the City of Lubbock employed on or after the effective date of this | |
| 15 | 21 | Act, regardless of whether the clerk or other personnel began | |
| 16 | 22 | employment before, on, or after the effective date of this Act. | |
| 17 | 23 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | |
