10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 656.051, Government Code, is amended by | |
12 | 12 | adding Subsection (j) to read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | (j) This section does not apply to purchasing personnel of | |
14 | 14 | the Texas Department of Transportation whose duties relate | |
15 | 15 | primarily to contracts described by Section 2262.002(b). | |
16 | 16 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
17 | 17 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
18 | 18 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
19 | 19 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
20 | 20 | Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
