A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the disposition of certain amounts collected for rail
safety.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 111.101(e), Transportation Code, is
amended to read as follows:
(e) A fee collected under this section shall be deposited to
the credit of the state highway fund [general revenue fund] to be
used for the rail safety program.
SECTION 2. Section 111.103, Transportation Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
(f) A fee collected under this section shall be deposited to
the credit of the state highway fund.
SECTION 3. Section 471.005(c), Transportation Code, is
amended to read as follows:
(c) Money received under Subsection (a)(2) shall be
deposited in the state treasury to the credit of the state highway
fund.
SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
