| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 1101.403, Occupations Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | by adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (d-1) The commission shall ensure that any examination | |
| 13 | 13 | required by this chapter or Chapter 1102, including an examination | |
| 14 | 14 | administered by a testing service, is offered in Spanish on request | |
| 15 | 15 | of an applicant. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | |
| 17 | 17 | to an examination under Chapter 1101 or 1102, Occupations Code, | |
| 18 | 18 | that is administered on or after January 1, 2020. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
