7 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
---|
8 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 552, Government Code, is |
---|
9 | 15 | | amended by adding Section 552.160 to read as follows: |
---|
10 | 16 | | Sec. 552.160. CONFIDENTIALITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION OF |
---|
11 | 17 | | APPLICANT FOR DISASTER RECOVERY FUNDS. (a) In this section, |
---|
12 | 18 | | "disaster" has the meaning assigned by Section 418.004. |
---|
13 | 19 | | (b) Except as provided by Subsection (c), the following |
---|
14 | 20 | | information maintained by a governmental body is confidential: |
---|
15 | 21 | | (1) the name, social security number, house number, |
---|
16 | 22 | | street name, and telephone number of an individual or household |
---|
17 | 23 | | that applies for state or federal disaster recovery funds; |
---|
18 | 24 | | (2) the name, tax identification number, address, and |
---|
19 | 25 | | telephone number of a business entity or an owner of a business |
---|
20 | 26 | | entity that applies for state or federal disaster recovery funds; |
---|
21 | 27 | | and |
---|
22 | 28 | | (3) any other information the disclosure of which |
---|
23 | 29 | | would identify or tend to identify a person or household that |
---|
24 | 30 | | applies for state or federal disaster recovery funds. |
---|
25 | 31 | | (c) The street name and census block group of and the amount |
---|
26 | 32 | | of disaster recovery funds awarded to a person or household are not |
---|
27 | 33 | | confidential after the date on which disaster recovery funds are |
---|
28 | 34 | | awarded to the person or household. |
---|
29 | 35 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
