| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 42.006, Education Code, is amended by | |
| 10 | 10 | adding Subsection (a-6) to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | (a-6) The commissioner by rule shall provide means for each | |
| 12 | 12 | school district and open-enrollment charter school to submit | |
| 13 | 13 | through the Public Education Information Management System to the | |
| 14 | 14 | agency the district's or school's total annual costs incurred | |
| 15 | 15 | relating to the statewide assessment program under Subchapter B, | |
| 16 | 16 | Chapter 39, including the costs for: | |
| 17 | 17 | (1) administration; | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) participation; | |
| 19 | 19 | (3) preparation; and | |
| 20 | 20 | (4) training. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
