10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 502.094, Transportation Code, is amended | |
12 | 12 | by adding Subsection (i) to read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | (i) A receipt for a temporary registration permit issued | |
14 | 14 | under this section shall be carried in the vehicle at all times | |
15 | 15 | during the period for which the permit is valid. The temporary tag | |
16 | 16 | must contain all pertinent information required by this section and | |
17 | 17 | must be displayed in the rear window of the vehicle so that the tag | |
18 | 18 | is clearly visible and legible when viewed from the rear of the | |
19 | 19 | vehicle. If the vehicle does not have a rear window, the temporary | |
20 | 20 | tag must be attached to or carried in the vehicle to allow ready | |
21 | 21 | inspection. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
