66 AN ACT
77 relating to 72-hour and 144-hour registration permits for
88 commercial motor vehicles, trailers, semitrailers, and motor
99 buses.
1010 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1111 SECTION 1. Section 502.094, Transportation Code, is amended
1212 by adding Subsection (i) to read as follows:
1313 (i) A receipt for a temporary registration permit issued
1414 under this section shall be carried in the vehicle at all times
1515 during the period for which the permit is valid. The temporary tag
1616 must contain all pertinent information required by this section and
1717 must be displayed in the rear window of the vehicle so that the tag
1818 is clearly visible and legible when viewed from the rear of the
1919 vehicle. If the vehicle does not have a rear window, the temporary
2020 tag must be attached to or carried in the vehicle to allow ready
2121 inspection.
2222 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
