| 6 | 13 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 7 | 14 | SECTION 1. Section 102.082, Natural Resources Code, is | |
| 8 | 15 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 9 | 16 | Sec. 102.082. AUTOMATIC DISSOLUTION. A unit is | |
| 10 | 17 | automatically dissolved: | |
| 11 | 18 | (1) two years [one year] after its effective date if no | |
| 12 | 19 | production or drilling operations have been had on the unit or | |
| 13 | 20 | surface location for the unit; | |
| 14 | 21 | (2) six months after the completion of a dry hole on | |
| 15 | 22 | the unit; or | |
| 16 | 23 | (3) six months after cessation of production from the | |
| 17 | 24 | unit. | |
| 18 | 25 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | |
