| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 411.173, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (b-1) Notwithstanding Subsection (b), a person's license to | |
| 13 | 13 | carry a handgun issued by another state may not be recognized and is | |
| 14 | 14 | not valid in this state if the person has established a domicile in | |
| 15 | 15 | this state. For purposes of this subsection, "domicile" has the | |
| 16 | 16 | meaning assigned by Section 522.003, Transportation Code. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2020. |
